Ultrasound therapy is a non-invasive therapeutic method, which uses the mechanical energy of the longitudinal waves penetrating deep through human soft-tissues. These mechanical waves are absorbed in the tissues and transformed into heat energy, providing micro-massage at the same time.
No matter, which muscle or connective tissue you want to get relaxed, ultrasound therapy is intended to provide relaxation, increase blood flow and reduce the risk of edema for ligaments, tendons and fascia. It is formulated to accelerate the muscle healing process.

How It Works?
In Ultrasound Therapy, deep tissue temperature is generated to provide relief from pain. This also improves the range of motion of contracted joints using heat and stretch techniques. By undergoing around 5 to 6 sessions of ultrasound therapy, the healing time of certain soft tissue injuries and inflammations can be reduced to a good extent.
Not only this, undergoing an ultrasound session may stimulate the production of more collagen, which in turn, accelerates the proliferative phase of tissue healing and improves flexibility.
Cost of Therapy
At Oxford Spine Center in London, Ontario, each session costs between $35-$65 depending on the area injured and the duration it takes for treatment. We also provide a direct billing option.
